Plan Your Marketing Year — An In-Person Marketing Workshop

About this Event

New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) is pleased to host “Plan Your Marketing Year — An In-Person Marketing Workshop” with Mara Vlatković, an arts marketing and communications professional currently working as Campaign Specialist at The Juilliard School in New York City. This interactive workshop will take place at NYFA’s Brooklyn office on Wednesday, December 4, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM.

Description:

How do you start building an audience? Where do you concentrate your marketing efforts to make them most effective? And how do you market yourself and your art with authenticity? This workshop will take you through the process of sharing your art, projects, exhibitions, and entrepreneurial endeavors with your audience and stakeholders. We will cover how you can use social media, email marketing, and other (often completely free!) tools to develop a dedicated following. Informed by NYFA's popular handbook The Profitable Artist (Allworth Press, 2018), you will learn how to understand your audience, build marketing goals, and make the most of your own time and resources. By the end of the workshop, you will have a personally developed marketing plan in hand for the coming year!

The workshop will include:

  • Individual and group work
  • Defining your personal audience
  • Finding your marketing strengths and weaknesses
  • Creation of your own personal marketing plan for 2020
  • Constructive feedback, ideas, and suggestions
  • Resource guide including more reading and learning material
