Event Details

Join the Townsend Hotel for breakfast, followed by an interactive panel featuring experts with a combined 60+ years of event planning experience. They will share tips, tricks, nightmares, successes, with regard to event security, global events, using social media, and industry trends.

8:30am- 9:00am    Informal networking for those who would like to stay.

Adrienne Amelio-Perzyk, Director of Sales at 2Unique Catering & Event Planning and President Elect of the International Live Events Association

Adrienne Amelio Perzyk

Adrienne studied Sales and Marketing at Ferris State University and quickly jumped into the wonderful world of party planning shortly thereafter. With over 29 years of experience in the food industry, 25 years of that has been dedicated to Catering and Event Planning at Two Unique. Adrienne’s attention to detail, creativity and enthusiasm has successfully helped her execute thousands of events including but not limited to; high profile corporate functions, city wide fundraisers, show stopping weddings and outrageously-fun themed Bar/Bat mitzvahs. Throughout her career she has also had the privilege of rubbing shoulders with Fortune 500 CEO’s, Popstars & Rockstars and well known Sport figures. In conjunction with crafting on-trend events, Adrienne co-taught Catering & Event Planning classes at the Schoolcraft Culinary College with Chef Kelli Lewton. In an effort to continuously sharpen her skillset, Adrienne actively partakes in various educational seminars and networking events both locally and nationally. She was most recently honored with the President’s Award from ILEA for her dedicated service to the Detroit chapter, and was nominated to the position of President Elect of that same chapter. 

Adrienne is the model of hospitality; she treats all of her clients like her own family and makes sure they are comfortable before, during and after every event. Her true passion is nourishing amazing relationships with clients and enjoying the working partnership in bringing their events to life. When she is not planning events she enjoys volunteering for local animal rescues, vacationing up north, visiting family and friends, cooking and supporting her favorite sports teams.


Devonna Snowden, Linen Hero

 With over 16 years of table design experience, DeVonna Snowden produces events ranging from intimate dinner parties, glamorous traditional weddings, and festive non-profit galas. Her creativity, dedication, and attention to detail are unrivaled in the industry.

Through her leadership and service on her local NACE (National Association of Catering and Events) chapter board, the chapter realized growing membership. DeVonna was also honored with the Micheal Havens Award at the 2016 EPIC awards, as well as Best Table Top Design and Best Team Event.  One of DeVonna’s keys to success in  business is her ability to win the trust, support, and appreciation of problematic clients.   


Jim Lenz, Business Manager, 2 Unique Catering & Event Planning

Jim Lenz

Jim Lenz has a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree in Recreation & Sport Management from Indiana State University. His experience as a high-level international athlete led him into various logistical, event, and hospitality positions within the US Olympic Committee (USOC) including Operations at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center and International Meeting & Event Services. In his 8 years of service he was actively involved in the execution and planning of 3 Olympic/Paralympic Games, 2 Pan American Games, various World and National Championships, and countless meetings and training camps. In both a sport and hospitality roles Jim had the opportunity to serve a wide range of athletes, sponsors, donors, royalty, and first families.

In his current position as Business Manager at Two Unique Caterers & Event Planners, Jim assists the Chef/Owner, Kelli Lewton, by managing both daily business operations and business development. In 2017 this translated to almost 600 full service events and over 2,500 corporate deliveries; totally nearly to 200,000 served guests.


Sharon Kimble, Executive Director, Association for Corporate Growth Detroit Chapter

Sharon Kimble is an 18-year veteran in the association management and event planning industry. She currently holds the position of executive director with the Association for Corporate Growth Detroit Chapter, a 400-member nonprofit organization made up of investors, executives, lenders and advisers to growing middle-market companies. ACG's mission is to drive middle-market growth.

 Sharon was the recipient of the ACG President’s Award for Excellence and Achievement by an ACG Chapter Executive. Given annually to a single ACG chapter executive, the award recognizes dedication to ACG over a long period of time coupled with outstanding performance as an association professional. Kimble has served ACG Detroit since 2000 and has played a key role in the significant growth and success of ACG Detroit in recent years. She also helped shepherd the success of the first state-wide public policy summit held in Lansing, Michigan in 2016.

 Sharon received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Relations from Eastern Michigan University.
