The City LLEN is holding a short AGM program followed by 2 exciting guest speakers – appealing to teachers, educationalists, policy makers, employers and the youth sector.

Bill Coppinger, Principal Consultant of Whalesong Services and international education conference speaker is presenting a dynamic, interesting, highly relevant talk on what’s happening with our young people in terms of the contemporary labour market, education systems and what the future holds. Bill explores the impacts of expected demographic changes as they will impact our young people Bill was awarded the inaugural Victorian Teacher of the Year award in 1996 for his work establishing the Victorian Global Classroom project and holds a Master of Education Policy from Melbourne University and is completing an Educational Leadership course at Harvard University.

Tina Hosseini, Youth Commissioner, Victorian Multicultural Commission will present on local issues as they impact young people from multicultural backgrounds, looking to dispel some common stereotypes. Tina is the Chair of the Red Cross Victorian Youth Advisory Committee and was the Youth Chair of the Federation of Ethnic Communities Councils of Australia, she is an active member of the Iranian Women’s Association and was previously a member of the Multifaith Multicultural Youth Network. Tina currently works at Deakin University as a Community Research Fellow and is passionate about all things Youth!
