FAQs
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes, this a 21+ Event.
Can I bring my dog?
Leave your furry friends at home for the night or book a pet-sitter. Unfortunately, Baker Near-Wilderness Center does not allow pets of any kind.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Campers must get to the camp on their own or with their group. At this time, we do not provide transportation. There is plenty of parking available in the camp parking lot. For further questions, please contact us.
What if I'm vegan? Or gluten-free? Or vegetarian? Will I still like pizza camp?
We aim to accommodate all diets. Please let us know what your dietary preferences are when you fill out the registration form. This event is less friendly to those with extreme gluten allergies, as it does involve exposure to flour via the air, kitchen, and shared oven.
What are the cabins like?
The cabins are rustic wood cabins that sleep 8. The cabins do not have electricity or air conditioning. Each camper gets one bunk bed with a mattress on it. Each camper must provide their own pillow, blankets, and sleeping bag. The camp provides lanterns if needed, but we recommend bringing extra cell phone batteries and personal flashlights. The cabins are all a very short walk from the main lodge and campfire area. The cabins will remain unlocked throughout camp, so you'll want to stow valuables or avoid bringing them at all. Campers usually only use these cabins to sleep in at night, our time in them is otherwise fairly limited. There are toilets near the cabins and two bathrooms in the main lodge, which is also where the only running water is.
Can I share a cabin with my friends?
Yes! We try to keep groups together. When you register, you will be asked who you'd like to camp with, if anyone. You will also be asked if you prefer a women's bunk, men's bunk, or co-ed cabin. Each cabin will have 6-8 people sleeping in it.
What's the weather going to be like?
Pizza Camp is a rain or shine event. We expect 80s during the day and 60s during the night. There may be a small chance of thunderstorms, so pack accordingly. There will be about 14 hours of daylight on the 8th, and a full moon that night.
What can I bring into the event?
Bring yourself, seasonal clothing, toiletries, bug spray, suntan lotion, sleeping bag, pillow, a flashlight, a water bottle, pizza swag, and any other pizza related items you want to bring. If you'd want it at summer camp, bring it.
What CAN'T I bring into the event?
We are subject to the rules of Baker Near-WIlderness Center. This means no hard alcohol, wine, or beer in large containers. (Don't worry, we'll have beer on hand). This also means pets are not allowed. This also means you can't bring guns, drugs, or anything else that might be considered dangerous or is illegal, like fireworks. Unfortunately, we also ask that you leave your pet at home (although we insist you bring a wallet sized photo of your pet to show us).
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Write to us at info@pizzacamp.org. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.
How can I partner with Pizza Camp?
Reach out to us at partners@pizzacamp.org with a proposal.
What's the refund policy?
We will give a full refund until Jun 16, 2017.
We will give a 75% refund until June 23, 2017.
Tickets are non-refundable after June 24, 2017.
However, we also understand that emergencies happen and people get sick and so on. If you need to cancel at the last minute we will do our best to refund a portion of your ticket and still get your pizza camp swag bag to you. If instead, you can find someone to take your place - that is optimal. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can try to find a new home for your ticket, in which case you would receive a full refund.
