Have you thought about pursuing an alternative legal career to private practice?

Please join us for an illuminating conversation around the topic of pursuing alternative legal career paths outside of private practice. You’ll hear from practitioners at several different stages of their careers, all of whom have pursued interesting and fulfilling alternative legal careers to private practice. Our presenters in this informal setting will share their thoughts regarding their diverse experiences working as in-house counsel at LESA, the Alberta Law Reform Institute, as a web-business owner and more!

Topics will include:

Benefits of working as “in-house” counsel in a variety of workplace settings
Alternatives to the traditional “billable hour”
Why pursue an alternative legal career to private practice?
Who should pursue an alternative legal career to private practice?
How to search for alternative legal careers to private practice

A pizza lunch will be provided followed by a Q & A session in CN Alumni Hall over desserts from 1:00pm - 2:00pm. Please RSVP by Friday February 2, 2018.
