Event description

Description

How do you get others on board with your great idea? How do you recruit your first believers, potential partners, and possible investors? Amy Chen '10 will show you how to get your ideas to stand out (in front of any audience!) using effective storytelling, strong visuals and compelling evidence that makes it impossible for your listeners to ignore.

Workshop Instructor: Amy Chen '10

Amy Chen '10 supports and advocates for startups in NYC's technology community. Currently, she works in the venture capital business development group at Amazon Web Services to help venture-backed startups grow and scale. Previously, she led the accelerator program at NYC Media Lab and invested over $1 million in grants to emerging media technology startups there. Prior to that, she led incubator partnerships and programming at Urban Future Lab focusing on cleantech and smart city technologies. Amy graduated from Barnard College with a BA in Economics and from NYU Stern School of Business with an MBA.

This workshop is part of our spring 2020 series Make Your Ask where students learn how to make an ask for help or money that ends in an enthusiastic Yes!
