Pitching for The New Hollywood Beyond the Logline
with Award-Winning Screenwriter Jacob Krueger
An Online Event Brought
to You by Final Draft, Inc.

Forget Everything You Think You Know
About How to Pitch A Screenplay

A great pitch doesn’t come from selling out, or trying to anticipate Hollywood’s next flavor of the week. Rather, it grows organically out of very impulses that drove you to write in the first place.

This groundbreaking seminar with award-winning screenwriter Jacob Krueger takes you beyond the formulas and clichés to help you craft a pitch for your screenplay that can compete in today’s competitive market.

Understand The Market. In today’s market, it’s not enough to have a catchy logline. You need to be able to talk about your script in a way that makes your story stand out from the crowd, and build the personal connections that allow a producer believe you can deliver on what you promise.

Discover Your Hook. Learn to identify the “high concept hook” that already exists in your screenplay, and bring it to the surface in ways that make producers salivate.

Hone Your Pitch. You might be the next Charlie Kaufman in waiting, but unless you can pitch it, nobody is going to read it. Learn how to create a pitch that can make even the most jaded producer pay attention, so that you can sell your screenplay and yourself as a writer.

Find The People Who Can Help You. Learn how to identify agents, producers, managers, actors, directors, and other entertainment professionals who are looking for just the kind of material you are writing, and how to break through the walls that seem to separate you from them.

Live Q&A:

There will also be a live question-and-answer session during the last 15 to 20 minutes of the webinar where all attendees can chat questions to Jacob live. These questions will be chosen at random. You may also submit questions in advance to attention Jacob Krueger Questions. These submissions will be considered for the Q&A as well.

If you miss the scheduled time, you will receive an email the morning after the event has closed with a link to watch the video at your convenience.
