PISTOL 101- Basic Pistol

Basic Pistol Class- Classroom with power point presentation and live fire training .This course is for the beginner or inexperience shooter. The course includes:  firearm safety, range safety, Pennsylvania Laws, nomenclature of handguns, ammunition, basic fundamentals of shooting, cleaning, maintenance and proper storage of firearms. The curriculum was written for students who have little or no experience with handguns. its the starting point for our students and is the foundational class for our defensive pistol class and our other advanced training classes. In addition to  learning the proper techniques of shooting , the class will cover what you need to do to prepare yourself and your equipment before, during, and after you go to the range.  

Cost: Tuition for the class is $125.00

            $50.00   non-refundable deposit due at registration

           $75.00  balance due in cash at class check in.

 Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event

         21+ YEARS OF AGE

         Training is only open to US Citizens or permanent residents (green card holders) per ITAR  (22 CFR §§120-130)

 What can I bring into the event?

Equipment needed:

• Eye and Ear Protection

• Ball Cap

• Quality functional semi-automatic pistol with 2 magazines and 50 rounds of ammunition. Micro or pocket pistols are permitted.. However,  we discourage their use during this class as you will not receive the full benefits of the training. We suggest full size or medium sized handgun. Rentals are available, the price is $40.00 and includes ammunition. Revolvers are not permitted.

• Please wear proper range attire. Comfortable shirt and long pants. ( No tight fitting clothing that would restrict your movement) Enclosed shoes (No flip flops or sandals) No low cut shirts .

• Personal items, note taking material, beverages and or light snacks

• We will be using heated indoor range. The indoor range has an ammo restriction for the use of non-jacked ammo only. 9mm or 22 lr ammo is available on site or rent a pistol and your ammo is supplied with the rental.

• Note pad, pens ,pencils.

• Please arrive for the class on time and with an unloaded firearm and magazines secured in a range bag or factory box.
