Dear PIP Alumni,
We would love to see you! Take a break from the holiday season and join us on Wednesday, December 7th for a parenting workshop at the newly opened Brentwood Social House. Our workshop is free for PIP Alumni and $7 for the general public. Round up your parent friends and bring them out!
About the workshop:
Are you struggling with how to respond to your toddler’s strong emotions and constant testing of rules? Do you have a baby and wonder how you will handle the next stage? This workshop will provide you with a foundation in positive parenting approaches so that you can prevent and address challenging toddler behavior, build a strong relationship with your child, and foster healthy emotional development.
Topics that will be addressed include:
- Understanding the positive parenting approach
- Preventing problem behavior
- Responding to tantrums and whining
- Helping your toddler manage their strong emotions
- Communicating to build a strong parent-child relationship

About our facilitator: Carolyn Mehlomakulu, LMFT-S, ATR is a licensed child and family therapist and a registered art therapist with 10 years of experience in working with children and parents. In her private practice, she helps children and teens to overcome depression, anxiety, and trauma and helps families to get through difficult transitions and build stronger relationships. Carolyn is also a PIP alumni and the mom of a toddler. She enjoys making art, reading, and exploring the outdoors with her son.
