Pink Elephant Hip Hop Festival Artist & Vendor Registration
The Pink Elephant Hip Hop Festival is an LGBT Hip Hop Showcase featuring 25 of the most dynamic and electrifying entertainers in the country! For 2 days, Artists, Emcees, DJs, Music Producers, Talent Managers, Industry Execs, Scholars and Hip Hop HEADS from all over the world come together in celebration of a genre of music that is often under represented. Brain child of Austin native and award winning gay rapper Japan of The QURE, Pink Elephant was created to celebrate and advance a community that has been shut out from mainstream Hip Hop. Partnering with queer Hip Hop pioneer Timm' West and presented by allgo, a statewide queer people of color organization; Pink Elephant is not just about music but about also providing a platform for the Artists to address the social and cultural injustices that effect the LGBT community i.e. Black Lives Matter, transgender violence, HIV/AIDS and women's empowerment issues etc.
The Pink Elephant Hip Hop Festival will provide a space for the Artists to mobilize and network while making history as the the Worlds Largest Annual LGBT Hip-Hop Music Festival. It's also an opportunity to show the world just how rich in talent and diverse we are as LGBT Hip-Hop artists; as it will be documented. Pink Elephant hopes to help renew the sense of community among LGBT Hip-Hop artists that has, over the past decade, faded. Aspirations are to produce a documentary, build and expand the PE brand, and set the foundation for an annual Pink Elephant Music Award ceremony.
