Event description

Description

Back by popular demand!

Would you like to shift from taking ordinary, predictable photographs to making hand-crafted images that are visually daring and often surprising? Pinhole photography, a vintage analog technique that uses a tiny aperture instead of a lens, is a great way to start evolving a new way of seeing as you build and refine your own personalized photo tools and techniques. Please join visual artist and photographer RA Friedman for a free sampling of his spring 2017 course, XAPO-471 Pinhole Photography for the Contemporary Artist, as he presents a brief, overview of the current pinhole photography scene, including his own unique methodology for creating dreamlike figure compositions by painting with light. Participants will also get to try an instant film pinhole camera and make their own photo creations!
