The Pinellas County 4-H Association would like to invite you to their first annual 4-H Association Open House and Club Officer Training pizza party!
This open house will be a dual-purpose, fun training for youth and adults. Club leaders will learn about what the 4-H Association does for 4-H clubs, as well as go over cash handling and fundraising policies and procedures in Pinellas County 4-H. Youth will learn more about what it means to be an officer in a 4-H club, record keeping skills, 4-H officer policies, and leadership skills. Both youth and adults will have the opportunity to give program and fundraising input and suggestions, as well as ask any questions that you may have about the Association.
All club officers are encouraged to attend, with at least one from each club required to attend. There will be breakout sessions for each type of officer with the officers from the Association. We will also have a general leadership training for youth that are not officers. Any other club members interested in becoming an officer next year are encouraged to attend as well. Adults will have round table discussions with other leaders and volunteers to share ideas, advice, and fun stories while the youth are training.
This event is also a great chance for any new volunteers or potential volunteers to learn a little more about 4-H and how to get involved, especially in the Association.
New for the 2016-2017 clover scholarships:
An officer and an adult leader from each club must attend this training or another Association meeting, in order for their club members to be eligible for the end-of-the-year clover award scholarships that the Association awards
The secretary and the treasurer's manual must be submitted to the agent at the end of the year with project books for your club's members to be eligible to receive the Association scholarships
Pizza and refreshments will be provided for all attendees, so please make sure to RSVP to ensure we have enough food.
We will also be giving away a free night's stay at the Hilton Doubletree in Indian Rocks. Don’t miss the opportunity to have a great "stay-cation" courtesy of the Pinellas County 4-H Association!
