We love pasta. Everything from orecchiette to cavatelli, plus twirls of pici and trofie tossed in for good measure. But have you ever made it yourself?

Join pineapple SF at The Civic Kitchen for our first-ever interactive Bay Area workshop and learn to shape your own perfectly imperfect pasta with your bare hands. The workshop will be led by partners in pasta (and in life) ali and alix, recent Brooklyn transplants now hosting local dinners, classes and pop-ups all inspired by the three P’s: Piedmont, produce, and pasta. Between the two of them, they’ve cooked at the James Beard House, competed in the Barilla US World Pasta Competition, and worked behind the scenes of Bravo’s Top Chef — trust us, they know a thing or two about carbs.

We’ll come together over a little flour and water, debate the optimal pasta shape, and start perfecting the simple art of pasta-making. Spoiler alert: it *always* tastes better when it’s homemade!

With organic flour from Central Milling and olive oil provided from Miracle Plum, we’ll sip on women-powered wines from Raft Wines and nibble on antipasti from Delfina by way of our women-powered collection on Caviar. Once all the mixing, kneading, and shaping is done, ali & alix will cook off your pasta with sauces using Mutti tomatoes — Italy’s #1 brand, plus cheese from Miyoko’s Creamery, and fresh herbs and produce provided by Preston Farm and Winery.
