Event description

Description

in April, Joan Nathan, the queen of Jewish cuisine, published her 11th cookbook, “King Solomon’s Table”

“King Solomon’s Table” is part cookbook, part recount of the history of the Jewish people: each recipe highlights a different story that sheds light on Jewish cultural and religious significance

beyond providing new dishes for your next Passover seder, “King Solomon’s Table” displays the diversity of the Jewish diaspora and its culinary traditions from across the globe, whether it be Brazilian-Belarusian Grouper, El Salvadorian Yuca Latkes, or Polish shritzlach

to celebrate Joan’s most ambitious project yet, pineapple DC is thrilled to host a conversation and interview led by Kate Krader, food editor, Bloomberg News and former restaurant editor of Food & Wine, at our favorite Jewish gathering spot, On Rye

bites will be provided by On Rye’s Ilyse Fishman Lerner and Gordy Pickle Jar’s Sarah Gordon and Sheila Fain

a cookbook signing will follow the conversation

$15 general admission + bites
$50 general admission (includes bites) + signed cookbook + a jar of New York Shuk's herby harissa spice
*New York Shuk recipe for homemade, hand-rolled couscous is featured in "King Solomon's Table"!
