Salon 21 takes an academic spin across American art song literature with a collaboration between voice and piano professors from University of Northern Kentucky and University of North Florida. While the art song genre was famously refined by the greats of 19th century German music, there is a wide range of 20th century American composers who have contributed significantly to this art form. Vocalists Kimberly Lazzeri and Krzysztof Biernacki team up with pianists Erin Bennett and Richard van Dyke to present a collection of pieces by iconic American composers Samuel Barber, Aaron Copland, and Leonard Bernstein.

New to Salon 21? Great, welcome!

HERE'S WHAT WE DO: In short, we are petite piano concerts.

Long form - We've taken the 19th century salons, where famous musicians and composers performed in people’s living rooms, and updated this piece of history for the 21st century. Imagine an evening filled with wine, food, friends, world-class music and exciting new ideas. Salon 21 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organizaiton
