The United Pilates™, Reformer One Course (NASM Approved 1.9/2.0 CEUs). Open Enrollment.

This is a 48-hours hands-on teaching course for future instructor. You will be expected to complete 112 hours of practice and observation, outside of these class times, as part of this program. Taught in condensed blocks, textbook reading is an important part to preparing you for this teaching practice focused learning experience. Throughout the course, you will be expected to present and demonstrate your understanding of biomechanics in relationship to the Reformer work; with eventual achievement such as teaching the complete beginner client and adjusting programs to suit the beginner and starting intermediate clients' fitness levels.

Tuition: US$1800 (excluding course material) and optional testing fees

Payment:

  • All Courses require $100 application fee

  • If the registrant uses the installment payment option, the $100 application is not waived;

  • Installments can be in 2 to 9 equal payments spread over 15-30 days each payment.

  • Courses need to be paid at least 75% by first day of classes.

Please Note

Apprenticeships are charged by individual studios. United Pilates offers a month to month (40-hour) apprenticeship at select studios. Apprentices have the opportunity to teach classes, observe other pilates instructions, and practice pilates on studio equipment.

^ Not all teaching studios host exams. If students select a hosting studio with an off-site exam location, please budget a total of $200 for mid-terms and finals (i.e. $100 for each test).

Attendance:

Absence of two classes will result in a 10% deduction of total grade. Absence of four or more classes will result in automatic withdrawal of the course.

Retest on final exams are available and are subject to additional testing fees and must be arranged through the testing facility. Students must have good course attendance and completed a minimum of 25-hour teaching and practice hours before requests for retest will be considered.

Tutorials are available upon request by assistant teachers (additional fees apply).
