On November 1, join us for The Pierre Toussaint Scholarship Fund Awards Dinner.
During this special evening, we will present the Pierre Toussaint Medallion to our honorees—Reverend Gregory C. Chisholm, S.J. and Helen T. Lowe—extraordinary leaders in our church and community. The Pierre Toussaint Medallion is presented to distinguished persons in recognition of their demonstrated leadership and special merits in support of life, human rights, social justice, economic advancement, spiritual values and quality education for all the People of God—locally and throughout the global community.
His Eminence, Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan, will present Pierre Toussaint Medallions to our honorees and remember the late Reverend Dr. Thomas G. Schaefer for their great work and achievements. In addition to being a great educator, Fr. Chisholm, for over 10 years, has served as the pastor of St. Charles Borromeo, Resurrection and All Saints Parish in Harlem. Ms. Lowe is a gifted nonprofit strategist, who led the Archdiocese of New York’s development office for many years before lending her expertise to other nonprofit projects. The late Fr. Schaefer, a very good friend of our ministry, devoted his life to missionary work and academic endeavors.
A portion of every gift will go towards the Pierre Toussaint Scholars Food Pantry Fund, established in 2020 and administered by a committee of scholars, for the purpose of supporting parish food pantries, as they attempt to address the rising issue of food insecurities in our various communities of the Archdiocese.
Proof of vaccination required.
