Description

Crossfit Aether will be hosting the 3rd annual Pie & Beer Throwdown. Proceeds will be donated to a military organization in need. Teams of two (guy/girl) are welcome to register for either the RX or Scaled Division. Please include an email address for both athletes so that information prior to the event can be sent to you including heat schedules and event timelines. Please plan to register on site by no later than 8:30a. The event will run 9a-2p. It will be hot so please plan to bring food and water. Once registered, please email jamiejeane14@gmail.com with your names, email addresses, shirt sizes, team name, box affiliation, & whether you would like to do the RX or Scaled division. This event will consist of 3 events and multiple heats per event.

Workout 1: 10 minutes (per team) Max Lift

2 Rep Cluster. Athlete 1 will complete a 2 Rep Cluster (as heavy as possible). When complete, Athlete 2 will use the remaining time with the already set bar and may increase weights as needed to complete a 2 Rep Cluster within the 10 minute cap. Once weights are placed on the bar, the weights cannot be decreased.

Scoring: Total pounds lifted by both Athlete 1 & Athlete 2.

Workout 2: "Badger" 4 Rounds for time, 25:00 Cap

30 squat cleans (95/65 RX) (65/45 scaled)

30 pull ups (kipping, butterfly RX) (jumping pull ups scaled)

800M Run (RX & Scaled)

Athletes may not work at the same time. Athletes will split the work evenly in any way they choose. The run is relay style. Athlete 1 will complete a 400m run and will tag in Athlete 2 to complete another 400m. The next round cannot be started without both athletes present at the squat clean bar. Time cap 25 minutes.

Workout 3: For Time, 15:00 Cap

Push Press (115/80 RX) (95/65 Scaled)

Burpee Box Overs (24/20 RX) (Burpee Step Overs 20/12 Scaled)

Athletes may not work at the same time. Athletes will split the work evenly in any way they choose. Push press must have full extension in knees, hips, and elbows (movement standards apply). Burpee Box Overs must be done following movement standards. Athletes do not have to lock out their knees, nor hips, while going over the box. Burpees must have full extension of hips, elbows, hands above the head, and a jump off the ground while upright and the athlete's chest must make contact with the floor at the bottom position (movement standards apply.)
