Target Audience:

Physicians, Nurses, Social Workers, EMS Providers & Other Clinical Healthcare Providers


Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

1.  Recognize how POLST is different than Advance Directives
2.  Apply the use of POLST in their practive
3.  Determine how to respond when a patient has a POLST

 

Continuing Education:

Nurses: The Georgia Board of Nursing deems Southwest Georgia Area Health Education Center (SOWEGA-AHEC) as an approved provider for continuing education (CE). This activity is approved for 1.0 contact hour towards the continuing education competency requirement for Georgia nursing licensure renewal. No partial credit offered. Activity #2018-03A.

NURSE CE Expires: 02.01.2020

EMS: The Georgia Office of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma within the Georgia Department of Public approved this enduring material for 1.0 CE hour. EMS CE approval number OEMS-2018-083G
