Physician Immigration Law Institute - 2021
Event Information
About this event
The world of physician immigration has gone through vast and far-reaching changes since the last Physician Immigration Law Institute with many exciting possibilities developing with the new Administration. This informative conference will address current trends, strategies, and best practices, making the 4th biennial conference essential to those who work with IMG physicians, medical practices, and academic medical institutions. The conference will include panels and roundtables on Shortage-Based Waivers & PNIWs, PERM for physicians, addressing an agency refusal, and the continuing barrage of other challenges. Roundtables on Sunday night and sessions on Monday are designed to be interactive with choices for both the experienced and new practitioner as well as a session on ethics.
NOTE: After much thought and discussion, Lobby Day 2021 has been canceled. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the events of January 6, access to Capitol Hill is significantly restricted for group meetings. Therefore, Lobby Day cannot happen in the large and organized way it has in the past. If you have plans to meet with your legislator individually while you are in town, please inform IMGT so these efforts can be tracked.
NOTE: In person attendees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and vaccination proof will be required on-site at registration. Please bring your vaccination card or a photo/scan of your card to present to staff. If you are not fully vaccinated, your registration will be confirmed as virtual only.
