May 6: The National Gallery of Art's Robert Frank Collection Guide catalogs the largest repository related to renowned photographer and filmmaker Robert Frank, who died last year at the age of 94.
May 13: Washington DC's Art Bank collection includes photographs by prominent and emerging local photographers that attest to 30 years of vibrant artistic life in and around DC.
May 20: Sally Mann's deeply personal photographic oeuvre, focusing on two closely related but radically different 1987 photographs of her son, in the National Gallery Art collection.
Sarah Gordon is Curator at the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and author of Indecent Exposures: Eadweard Muybridge's Animal Locomotion Nudes (Yale Press 2015). She was a research associate at the National Gallery of Art, has curated exhibitions at the American University Museum and the Art Museum of the Americas, and has taught at Smith College, American University, and George Washington University.
