Photoshop: Presets, Plug-Ins, and Production

Prerequisite: Attendees should have at least taken Photoshop: Image Editing Basics, and experience with layers and masks. Previous Photoshop experience highly recommended. Please email us if you have quesrions on experience needed.
Advanced Photoshop users and editors know that the true power of the program lies in automating repetitive tasks, utilizing plugins that make daunting editing tasks a breeze and adopting workflow techniques that make image management and output repetitive and simple. In this class we will explore some of the advanced features, available in Photoshop and third party plugins, that help make your Photoshop experience smoother and much more rewarding.
We’ll begin our class with an exploration of Photoshop preset support and some of the best ways to make these presets work best for you. This section will start with a tour of the Tool Presets that are supported by Photoshop and the ways by which these presets can make editing efforts easier. No tour of presets would be complete without looking a Photoshop Brush and Pattern presets and how these little gems can be used. Lastly we will take a look a Preset and Actions that can be used to automate the look and feel that you apply to your images.
Our next topical area will be Photoshop Plugins and there will be more than plenty of these to go around. From film effects, to stylized looks, to advanced editing automation, today’s editing plugins offer a huge diversity of looks and treatments that you can easily and quickly apply to your images. Before leaving plugins we will explore some additional plugins that are readily available that provide excellent resources for image clarity, noise reduction and image scaling.
Last but not least we will finish our class with a review of workflow tools and techniques that will make for better managed images and files, as well as output techniques that can be used to provide the best targeted content out of Photoshop. This section will cover a variety of methods that can be used to manage your digital assets in Photoshop and ensure that you are getting the best possibility quality out of your images files. We will conclude this section with a review of Photoshop printing and print color management approaches all aimed at helping you to generate the best prints possible.
Once you have completed this course you will be well on your way to being a Photoshop power user!
How do I know if this class is the right class for my level of interest and/or expertise?
It is recommended to have skills with both Masking and Layers in Photoshop for this class. It is recommended to take the previous Photoshop classes if you are to the program.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
It is highly recommended that each attendee brings their own laptop computer to get full use of this class. If you do not have a laptop, some bring their All-in-one desktop computer. Please contact us with any questions regarding computer issues.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
You may request a refund up to two days before the class. For example, your class is on a Saturday, you have until the Thursday before to ask for a refund. Refunds requested the day before or day of the class, will be dealt with on a case by case basis, and are subject to processing fees.
