Photoshop CS4: Color Correction Techniques
How do you improve the color balance of your images? This workshop will show you the basic principals of color correction — with real-world application of those principals. All updated for Photoshop CS4.
With an intimate look at one of the biggest changes in Photoshop CS4: The new Adjustments Panel interface.
In this information-packed session, you'll learn a variety of color correction techniques using Levels, Curves, and Hue and Saturation adjustment layers. You'll also dig into techniques for matching color between images, and balancing color to achieve “pleasing color” results.
This 90-minute workshop covers the real-world use of Photoshop's color correction tools. Including:
- Adjusting images in RGB vs. CMYK.
- Using Levels and the Histogram.
- Correcting color with Curves.
- Correcting color with Hue and Saturation.
- Matching color between two images.
- Plus many tips and tricks from real-world retouching.
These workshops are demonstrated using Photoshop CS4 on Mac OS X, however the learning applies to PC users as well as previous versions of Photoshop.
Participate in Seattle or via the Web:
Our new workshop/webcast format combines a live Seattle workshop with a simultaneous online webcast.
Here is how it works: A live audience of designers participate from our training room in Seattle. Online attendees participate at the same time through an easy webinar connection. Online viewers type questions using the webinar interface -- and teh instructor answers live, just as he answers anyone in the room attending in person.
We've put a lot of work into this format — and so far the results have been a lot of fun. So, this Thursday, come join us in Seattle! Wherever in the world you happen to be.
After registering you'll receive an initial confirmation email with links and instructions for connecting using your web browser. You don't need anything special -- just a fast, reliable Internet connection, and a current web browser to access the shared screen.
The registration fee covers a single computer connection. You can gather as many people around that computer as you like.
