PHOTOSHOP 101 with Skyler Reid
Class meets Saturday, April 8 from 10 am to 6 pm
The cost for this workshop is $250
This hands-on, full-day workshop is for Photoshop beginners who want to learn the number one software for image editing, retouching and transforming. The class will focus on tools and methods for photo and image retouching, as well as what are considered acceptable practices in photojournalism. The class will also include information on more advanced editing tools, such as batch photo editing, layer editing and text design elements.
At the end of the day, students will be able to recognize and correct common photographic issues (such as overexposure or improper white balance) using Photoshop tools, and will be familiar with the requirements for any type of image editing.
Computers equipped with Photoshop CC will be available for student use, and this version will be used for instruction. Students should feel free to bring laptops for personal use, but in the interest of time the specifics for previous versions of Photoshop will not be covered.
Photo files will be provided for basic tool training, but students should feel free to bring their own individual files or a specific image-editing project to work on in the latter portion of the class on a USB device (thumb drive, external hard drive, etc).
Level: Beginner to Intermediate
