Learn how to photograph country singers from acclaimed portrait photographer JOHN ELLIOTT
Keen photographers going to this year's Tamworth Country Music Festival must not miss my photography workshop.
The four-hour workshop will be fun, informative and hands on. It is being held the morning of Saturday 22 Jan (please note - this is a new date).
The workshop will involve practical information and tips for photographers of all skill levels, followed by the chance for participants to use what they have learned and take their own photographs. Participants get to photograph a real country star!
Attendees will leave having learnt photography techniques that they can put to use photographing concerts they attend in Tamworth and family and friends.
All you need to bring is your camera and a willingness to learn and have fun. Light refreshments will be provided.
I will share my knowledge and experience gained over a lifetime of working as a freelance photographer in the music industry. I have photographed 20 Slim Dusty album covers and two definitive books on Australian country music.
Please note - the workshop time has been rescheduled to Saturday 22 January.
The workshop is limited to 15 participants so register today to reserve your place. Pay securely and with confidence using Visa, Mastercard or Paypal.
Needless to say, if you buy a ticket and can't make it for any reason, I'll offer a full refund.
When & Where
My name is John Elliott and I'm passionate about the importance of photography and about helping people take better pictures.
I run photography workshops where I share my forty years experience of photographing some of Australia’s most influential people. During my career I’ve been fortunate enough to publish my own photography books, run magazines, meet lots of interesting people, photograph thousands of concerts, and have had a solo exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.
As well as continuing to take thousands of photographs a month, I'm also determined to pass on some of the things I've learned over the years.
Over the last few years I’ve run dozens of photography workshops where I've taught attendees how to take better photographs by understanding their cameras better, developing technical skills, and thinking differently about new picture taking possibilities. The workshops are also a great time, and many participants have attended more than one.
If you're keen to organise a workshop in your local area please get in touch with me.
