Program: “Photographing Birds in Their Natural Setting”
Presenter: Earl Peck, WCAS member and photographer

Description: As a photographer and an amateur birder, WCAS member, Earl Peck, will share his photographs of birds in their natural habitats from his travels in many parts of the world. We’ll view hummingbirds in the US and Costa Rica, penguins on the Galapagos Islands, in Argentina, the Falklands, and South Georgia Island, and much more. Relax while we visit places and birds you want to see.
Come! Join us for our potluck dinner. WCAS provides turkey, ham, table service, soft drinks, coffee and tea. Bring one of your favorite pot luck dishes to share.
Just in time, for holiday shopping we will have a silent auction and a raffle.
The silent auction includes several Northeast Ohio artists, “Owl” by Lynne Dufenetz; a WCAS member; “Mates Landing”, a print of Canada Geese by Bob Munroe; 3 quilted wall hangings by Ohio Quilt Association members; the framed print, “To Bee Or Not To Be” by Laura and Gary Dumm; a set of three Susie Frazier's Mantra Blocks; a Julie Zickefoose print, "High Summer Bluebirds"; an Eileen Dorsey acrylic nature print; and "Hummingbird’s Ascent" a framed print by Beth Nilges-Nehamkin. .
The raffle consists of books about songbirds, waterfowl, chimney swifts and others. There will be bird feeders, a bird house, and assorted bird themed gifts.
We also will have merchandise for sale: hand-carved wooden bird pins by WCAS Member Terry Gorge; Urban Birding 2019 tee shirts, and several books, "How to Be an Urban Birder" by David Lindo; a children’s book, "Look, See the Farm" by Bill Wilson, Katie Fallon, and Leigh Anne Carter, Illustrator; one copy of "Saving Jemima: Life and Love with a Hard-Luck Jay" by Julie Zickefoose, and original Bird Print posters by local photographers.
We accept cash, checks and credit cards. It will be a great time to get the jump on shopping for the holidays.
