Event description

Description

As visual creatives, we all have a unique passion, a DRIVE- something deep down that fuels our desire for creating imagery.

In our second installment of PhotoConLite, we will dive beneath the surface of inspiring imagery, to illuminate the passion behind three different visual creatives. Each will speak to the force that keeps them pushing the limits of their craft, fueling the unique work they show the world. Rather than focusing on technique and production, we will explore the reasons why these creators produce the images for their portfolio or for their clients. Photographers, art directors, and creatives alike will walk away with a new found appreciation and understanding as to the burning passion that DRIVES thought provoking work. It will spark special insight into the creative process and open new doors to the creation of imagery through the visual medium.

As before, we invite you to bring others who may gain from the connection and perspective this event provides the community. We are open to new members of the group, and are eager to expand the circle!

This event is FREE, but you must secure a ticket so we can know how many people to expect.

We will gather at 6pm, and have time to hang out together, mingle, and get settled in before the program begins. Our presenters are three extremely talented folks who will share what DRIVES them in their work:

David Simchock, travel, lifestyle, and music photographer

Erica Mueller, wedding, portrait, and event photographer, and creator of the Embody Project

Steve Fisher, pro kayaker with Red Bull and filmmaker with Flowstate Narratives

After our presentations, we will provide time for the group to share, connect, and get to know one another. We are curious to hear what DRIVES you in your work, and what you wish to get from PhotoConLite moving forward.

Please note the change of location from Evan Kafka's studio to Colby Caldwell's space, both in the same building, the RAMP Studios. Parking is provided in the lots behind the Ginger's Revenge building, as well as South of the RAMP building. The main entrance is located on the North side of the RAMP building accessible between the two buildings--just enter through the main door, and follow the corridor to suite 179.

If you are unable to join us tomorrow night, please release your ticket so that another creative may come, as the space is limited.

{note that there will be nudity in the presentation}
