Shoot Photographic Workshops

Special Event!

Photo Stories involves two workshop sessions and three weeks of active online engagement while you put to practice what you learn but more importantly learn while you do it. Photo Stories begins with a three-hour workshop which defines what a photo-essay is, gives examples and explains what type of images are needed to create a visual story. By creating a photo-essay participants learn different photography skills such as portraiture, capturing action, wide-angle and close-up photos. Participants then have the three-week challenge of photographing their own photo-essay using the cameras and devices available to them (including smartphones). Online guidance and feedback will be given during this time and the workshop concludes with a workshop/presentation where participants learn how to edit and order their images for greatest visual impact plus view each other’s photo essays in a slideshow presentation. Photo Stories is all about ‘learning while doing’ and being part of a creative project with an end result.
