Photo Night at The Denver Post March 19, 2014
Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (MDT)
The Denver Post Photojournalism staff is pleased to invite you to their upcoming PhotoNight on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014. To start the night off, staff sports photographers John Leyba and Joe Amon will present The Denver Post's photo coverage from the Denver Broncos legendary 2013 season and Super Bowl XLVIII. In addition to showing photos, they will also talk about how the team of eight photo editors and photographers covered the biggest sporting event of the year, from coordinating places on the field to getting stuck in airports for two days on their return home due to winter storms.
Denver Post staff photojournalist AAron Ontiveroz will then present his work from the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Ontiveroz traveled to Sochi for three weeks in February to cover the Winter Games, capturing many major American victories including the U.S ice dancing team Charlie White and Meryl Davis winning the first gold medal for Americans in their event as well as the disappointing moment snowboarder Shaun White underperformed on the half pipe and lost his chance at a medal in one of the events that helped make him famous.
