Event description

Description

Six Magnum photographers went to remote regions around the world where indigenous communities are waging unseen battles against governments and commercial interests to remain on their ancestral lands. Magnum Photos and Pacific Standard, with support from the Pulitzer Center, collaborated on a special photo issue and website called "A Journey Through Contested Lands" in the summer of 2018 where photographers and journalists visited the communities working to protect their land. This exhibit will feature photos from this report.

Join us for a conversation and reception with award-winning Magnum photographers Susan Meiselas and Thomas Dworzak whose work is featured in "A Journey Through Contested Lands."

Program and exhibition viewing from 6:30-8:00 PM. Remarks by photographers will begin at 6:45 PM. Refreshments will be served. The exhibition is open for complimentary viewing Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM and during World Affairs programs.
