Kids Camp (ages 8-12)
This is a perfect half day camp for creative kids! Students will learn how to create great images using the scene modes of a DSLR camera. Each child will be supplied with a camera. Students must bring their own SD card to class each day.
10-10:30- In class demo
10:30-11- walk to location
11-12- shooting on location
12:30-1- walk back to classroom
1-2- in class activities & printing best shots of the day

In class intro to the cameras and composition presentation. Discuss assignments for class. On location will take place at Seattle Center. In class activities will include still life shoots. Students will have one on one time with instructor to print their 3 best shots of the day.
In class we will talk about the portrait scene mode on the camera and ways to capture great portraits. We will hold the on location portion of class at Denny Park. Students will take portraits of each other. In class activities will include taking self portraits. Students will have one on one time with instructor to print their 3 best shots of the day.
Today we will discuss the landscape scene mode and tips on how to get better landscape images. On location shooting will take place at Lake Union. In class activities will introduce the special effects in camera. Students will be encouraged to think about what subjects to use the effects for ahead of time. Students will have one on one time with instructor to print their 3 best shots of the day.
In class we will discuss the sports scene mode and head to Cascade playground where the students will take pictures of each other and will stop the action of them playing. We will also have a stop action activity in class. Students will have one on one time with instructor to print their 3 best shots of the day.
For the last day of class we will be working in the macro scene mode. After and introduction we will head to Denny Park to find macro subjects. In class we will have macro subjects as well and students will have 1 on 1 time with instructors to pick their 10 best images for their presentation.
At 2pm pick up today, parents will be encouraged to stay and enjoy refreshments while looking at all of the students portfolios.
Parents will be asked to sign release documents to allow us to take the children off our premesies.
