Please register only if you are sure to attend. Others may be prevented from attending if you are a no-show.

Sustainable Phosphorus Alliance Technical Advisor, Dr. Bruce Rittmann, was recently awarded the Stockholm Water Prize in part as a result of his research in extracting valuable resources from wastewater. His work has helped drive an increasing recognition that what was traditionally characterized as waste is often replete with commodities ready to be extracted and valorized. Accordingly, what used to be called wastewater treatment plants have been rebranded as water resource recovery facilities. While care must be taken to remove potentially harmful constituents, these "wastes" carry everything from precious metals to energy-rich organics to nutrients, such as phosphorus, that can be harvested and returned to the circular economy, rather than landfilled and wasted. A number of companies have seized upon this opportunity and developed enabling technologies that advance this beneficial reuse of phosphorus.

Join the Sustainable Phosphorus Alliance for a 90-minute webinar on this topic. Panelists Matt Kuzma of Ostara Nutrient Recovery Technologies, Jeff Dawson of Renewable Nutrients, Mike Dougherty of Lystek International, and Jordan Lind of CLEARAS Water Recovery will join us for a discussion of the challenges and opportunities in harvesting phosphorus resources from wastewater streams. Each panelist will present an economic and technological overview, and time will be provided for audience Q & A. The webinar will be hosted on the Zoom webinar platform (no software installation required), and log in details will be provided after registration.
