Workshop Description

Phonological awareness is a person's awareness of the sounds, rhythms, and intonations they use when speaking.

In this practice-based workshop, Dr. Robin Barr will lead participants through a series of discovery activities and mini-lectures aimed at increasing teachers' phonological awareness for the purpose of English language teaching.

This Level 2 workshop is open to Level 1 certified teachers and is recommended to those who have completed at least one Level 2 Core workshop.

Workshop Dates

• Friday, March 5: 2-3:30 pm ET
• Friday, March 12: 2-3:30 pm ET
• Friday, March 19: 2-3:30 pm ET
• Friday, March 26: 2-3:30 pm ET

All sessions occur online through Zoom, are recorded, and are posted in a private YouTube playlist for those who have to miss part or all of a session. Certificate

Upon completion of this course, participants will receive a Level 2 Workshop Certificate reflecting 6 hours of instruction. This course fulfills one of multiple requirements of Level 2 certification.
