Phone Bank with the Met Council on Housing
Event Information
Description
Join us in forming community among volunteers interested in housing justice, building our knowledge on housing issues, and supporting our community partner the Metropolitan Council on Housing.
We will call people to invite them to an upcoming event, rally, or member meeting, depending on what events are coming up.
The Metropolitan Council on Housing (also known as the Met Council) is a tenants' rights membership organization made up of New York City tenants who believe in the motto of "housing for people, not profit." Formed over 50 years ago, the Met Council fights for a city where everyone has access to safe, decent, affordable housing. They organize tenants to stand up not both for their individual rights and for changes to housing policies.
Met Council also takes volunteers on additional dates, so for more information on alternative and additional volunteer details, please contact Alison at alison.rollman@werepair.org.
Volunteers ages 16+ please.
