Event description

Description

Torontonians are proving that we don’t live in a ‘post-truth’ era. Join the movement, for another night of wisdom-filled philosophizing (no toga required).

In ancient Greece, philosophers would meet and teach at the Stoa Poikile (meaning “the painted porch”). Today the world hungers for a new Stoa, a place where the lessons of philosophy are embedded into the DNA of one's character. Philosophy is not an abstract academic exercise but a lifelong activity involving the most extensive, and profound, integration of “the why” with “the how” of living.

Stoicism Toronto is proud to announce the resurrection of The Stoa. Join us on June 28th for an interactive exercise where we will be exploring the essential questions of the good life.

This is a “drop-in” event where you can arrive anytime between 6:30 pm and 10:30 pm. You will be greeted at the door with instructions.
