Microsoft Azure - .NET in the Cloud

Microsoft's entry into the cloud playground, known as Microsoft Azure, represents a significant opportunity for .NET developers to create scalable applications at an affordable cost. Azure consists of a number of powerful technologies for storing data, deploying scalable relational databases, and hosting SaaS and web based applications. This presentation will give an overview of the technologies that make up the Windows Azure platform, how to get up to speed with those technologies, and simple code snippets to understand how to integrate Azure into a complete application development effort. The discussion will also review some of the costs associated with Azure as compared to more traditional hosting services.
