Learn to maximize your organization’s fundraising efforts by creating a culture of philanthropy that includes your trustees, staff, and stakeholders. Philanthropy expert Laura Kaufman will help you and your board members be able to articulate your organization’s value to donors at all levels, thus creating an environment where everyone is on the development team.

Laura Kaufman is the CEO and Principal Consultant of Partners in Effective Philanthropy, a strategic fundraising firm for nonprofits. She previously served as Executive Director of the Jewish Women’s Foundation of Chicago, where she raised $6.35 million in individual donations and allocated $1.24 million to projects in women’s health, violence prevention, economic security, and education. With over 30 years of experience in nonprofit work, Laura serves as a coach for the Kellogg Center for Nonprofit Management, the Allstate Foundation’s Greater Good Initiative, the Chicago Foundation for Women’s Core Concepts Coaching Initiative, and Spertus Institute's Executive MAJPS program.

Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership offers dynamic learning opportunities, rooted in Jewish wisdom and culture and open to all. Graduate programs and workshops train future leaders and engage individuals in exploration of Jewish life. Public programs include films, speakers, seminars, concerts, and exhibits — at the Institute’s Michigan Avenue facility, in the Chicago suburbs, and online.
