Masha Gessen is coming to WFU on November 7th to speak (http://humanitiesinstitute.wfu.edu/masha-gessen). In preparation, PHI will be hosting a Reading Group and Discussion for Community Members.

Date/Time of gathering: Nov 2 5:30pm -7:30pm
Location: PHI 2599 Reynolda Road
Participants can pick up their books at PHI once they have received confirmation of their registration

More information about Masha Gessen:
A contributing writer for the New Yorker, the New York Review of Books, and Slate among other publications, Masha Gessen is also the author of nine books, including her account of the Boston Marathon Bombing (The Brothers), her study of the rise of the Russian art collective “Pussy Riot” (Words Will Break Cement), and her personally informed biography of Vladimir Putin (The Man Without a Face). In October, Gessen will publish her new book, The Future is History: How Totalitarianism Reclaimed Russia.
