Event description

Description

The 2019 PhB Symposium will showcase the latest undergraduate research at The Australian National University (ANU). Students from the prestigious research- focused Bachelor of Philosophy (PhB) program will give short presentations on research projects which they have completed across the ANU Colleges of Science; Health and Medicine as part of their undergraduate studies.

In this year’s Symposium, PhB students will cover an exciting variety of topics: from understanding positron annihilation in plasma to whether a supernova could have wiped out dinosaurs; from activity recognition in videos to engineering the DNA building blocks of life and understanding neuron development.

This is a chance for you to find out more about real-world research that our ambitious young undergraduate students are engaging in. The audience will also have the opportunity ask questions about the degree and to participate actively by voting for the best presentations at the end of the Symposium.

Refreshments will be served at the end of the Symposium and you will have the opportunity to chat with ANU students and staff.
