Event description

Description

Interested in a medical career but don’t want to deal with blood and guts? Pharmacy may be right for you. Join us in this fun, hands-on camp where you’ll learn the skills pharmacy technicians do on a daily basis – prepare medications including IV solutions, creams, and more. End the week by demonstrating the skills you learned to your friends and family.

This FREE camp is for students who will be entering 7th-12th grade.

This is a hands-on camp where students will be doing the activities that a real pharmacy technician would do. Because you will be learning our pharmacy simulation lab, we not only want you to look the part, but want you to be safe, too. Students will be provided a lab coat for use during the course. Students must wear pants and a short sleeve t-shirt under their coat. Shorts and tank tops are not allowed. Students must also wear closed toe shoes. Sandals and flip flops are not allowed.

Dates: 06/12/17-06/16/17, M-F, 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Instructor: Tamie Tallant

Lunch provided each day.

NOTE: If the camp is full, and you wish to be added to a waiting list, please contact Vicki Vukovich at vukovicv@owatc.edu or 801-627-8306.
