PH x College: Peter Max Clock Painting

Peter Max’s colorful, psychedelic designs with motifs drawn from Art Nouveau and Eastern painting traditions are hallmarks of the visual identity of the 1960s. Max created commissions and advertisements for a wide range of clients, from the Woodstock Music Festival (Summer of Love) to bedsheets to clocks for General Electric (GE), the latter of which act as inspiration for this event.

Held on a First Friday, access to the museum is free! We encourage you to come early and browse the Shop, enjoy our exhibitions, and order treats from the Café.

This event is capped at 25 guests. Each participant will recieve 1 clock.

PH x College is an ongoing series of programs designed by college students for college students and recent graduates who are interested in pursuing careers in art, design, or museums, with an emphasis on providing professional development, networking. and creative workshop opportunities.

This event is in person at Poster House, with masks required. Poster House operates in compliance with the Key to NYC mandate. All museum visitors older than 12 must show proof that they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccination records and IDs will be checked upon entry. Proof of vaccination may include:
