We are inviting colleages from across the University to join us for a faciltated discussion / workshop about wellbeing and resilience for Postgraduate Research Students. It's been acknolwedged that PGR students faces some specific challenges and that many students experience issues such as maintaining a positive work-life balance, feelings of loneliness and isolation, and struggles with anxiety and depression - amongst others. This is getting increasing attention across campus as well as in the national press and at other institutions who have undertaken their own wellbeing-focused projects. The focus of the day will be to:
- have an open discussion amongst a range of internal stakeholders here at Glasgow
- identify key concerns about PGR wellbeing
- clarify existing provision and support
- build a stronger community and network of those supporting student wellbeing
A report from the day will be available after the event. We also hope to use the report as the starting point for a short life working group that will develop an action plan for addressing some of the issues raised.
Tea, Coffee and Lunch will be provided.
