Gerard is an inspirational speaker and will give an overview of innovation at P&G and what value he believes it can bring to all. The abstract is below:

Abstract

There is undoubtedly an exponential acceleration of global and disruptive shifts at play across industry, society, technology, sciences and consumers. Shifts include Hyperconnected Consumers and Homes, Digital Sciences and Supply Chains, Urbanization, Circular or Shared economy, Demographics, Environmental challenges. We submit that these shifts will stimulate unprecedented opportunities for innovation that create value for the industry and improves the quality of life for consumers. These shifts will favor forward looking institutions that seek to better understand, envision and address the aspirations of their stakeholders and consumers and that dare to develop new transformational solutions. P&G is embracing this mindset and adopting new tools like Lean innovation, interdisciplinary R&D, Digital Technologies and Open innovation to constructively disrupt their industry and business.

As the pace of shifts in society, sciences, environment and industry is accelerating, academic and industry leaders have the opportunity to embrace these changes and create value and life improvements for all their stakeholders.
