Event description

Description

Is it “Global Warming” or Is it “Climate Change”? Are they one and the same? What factors contribute to the climatic habitability of our planet? Come to this workshop to explore one of the latest publications of the National Science Teachers Association Press: Understanding Climate Change. During this highly interactive session you will have the opportunity to develop a strong theoretical foundation on this topic. We will examine a step-by-step instructional approach using inquiry-based methods and robust literacy strategies, as well as explore ways to help students conduct their own scientific research and examine solutions to mitigate the consequences of climate change in their homes and communities. Regardless of your background, you will walk away well prepared to teach about climate change in any setting.
