Event description

Description

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission invites Commission members and their local government officials to join us for a holiday luncheon at MORPC. The topic of the luncheon is the impact of "pets in our communities."

Pets have gained access to riding in airplane cabins, dining in some restaurant patios, playing in designated parks, shopping in specialty stores and influencing public policy.

Kristen Harris, publisher of Petcetera, the new magazine that "helps people and pets live their best life together" and COO of Portfolio Creative, will open the program with an overview of how pets have risen to heightened status.

Sophia Fifner, Community Relations Chief-Columbus Parks & Recreation, will share the impact of dog parks and Mindy Greer, Preferred Living, will discuss the impact in residential design to accommodate our pets. From luxury living apartments to new homes, developers are adding clever pet care amenities to meet consumer demand. A MORPC team member will moderate as we welcome questions and best practice tips from our presenters and audience.

Agenda: 11:30 a.m. Enjoy lunch and networking; Noon Program; 1:00 pm Adjourn.

RSVPs are required.

For more information, please contact Eileen Leuby, Membership Services Coordinator eleuby@morpc.org or 614-233-4135.
