Peter Holsapple’s first four decades in the music business have provided the world at
large with a raft of memorable song craft, recordings of taste and originality, and travels
with some of the finest musicians performing. Holsapple has navigated a snaky course
through the annals of modern power pop with quality tunes like The dB’s “Love Is For
Lovers” or Continental Drifters’ “Invisible Boyfriend.” His versatility on sundry
instruments has made him the go-to auxiliary player for groups like R.E.M. and Hootie
and the Blowfish. He's played the Apollo Theatre and the Ryman Auditorium. His songs
have been played and recorded by Marti Jones, Don Dixon, the Troggs, Claire Lynch,
Nada Surf, Bully, the Golden Palominos, Foster & Lloyd and Megafaun. Recently,
Holsapple is a charter member of the songwriter collective podcast Radio Free Song
Club, where he has turned in a perfect record for submissions over thirty-one episodes
since December 2009. He is still waiting for his gold star. Meanwhile, in 2017, after two
years of successful appearances at 30A Songwriters Festival, Holsapple has released a
new 7” 45 rpm single “Don’t Mention The War” b/w “Cinderella Style” on his own
Hawthorne Curve Records.

Rod Abernethy has been playing and scoring music in the Carolinas for more than three decades, writing original songs and instrumentals on 6 and 12 string acoustic guitar in the styles of Leo Kottke, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Nick Drake and Loudon Wainwright to name a few. He has a strong history in the North Carolina music scene, reaching back to his days as a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter in well known North Carolina bands including Arrogance (which also included legendary performer and producer Don Dixon), Glass Moon, Rod Dash, The Slackmates and Sixteen Tons. As a composer, his award winning scores for broadcast and video games have earned him numerous accolades and international success, but these days Rod is getting back to his acoustic roots performing songs and instrumentals that he loves for house concerts and music venues all around the country.
