Jazz guitarist Peter Bernstein has been a first call guitarist on the New York scene since 1990. A protegé of late guitar icon Jim Hall, Bernstein performed in ensembles led by jazz legends Lou Donaldson, Jimmy Cobb, George Coleman, Sonny Rollins, and Lee Konitz, as well as contemporaries such as Joshua Redman and Brad Mehldau, before establishing his own groups, performing around the world, and lending his distinctive sound to nearly 80 recordings. For his Birdland Residency Bernstein performs Solo, Trio, and with a Quartet featuring pianist Sullivan Fortner.
