About this Event

The exhibition Subterranean Borders: Colonialism , Extraction and Defiance has been a profound exploration for the artists and thinkers, examining borders and ourselves, as the colonized, as colonizers, as the subjugated and  the defiant.

At the closing of the exhibition,  the artists will gather to talk about their work in the Petcha Kucha format:  each artist 20 slides, 20 seconds each slide, unpacking  their contribution to the exhibition and how it where it resides in the trajectory of their work. We will definitely have a mountain of empanadas and maybe a flight of mescal. There is also an article about the Zapatistas we will refer to, about their forms of subterranean resistance, encuentros or investigations, and general premise  of living a new set of social relations -- if you have a chance please read -- if you don't please come anyway!
