Pet "SHAM" Rock 2017 Annual Fundraiser
Saturday, March 11th ~ County Line Orchard in Hobart, IN
SHAMROCK & ROLL FOR HUMANE SOCIETY NORTHWEST INDIANA
Live Bands, Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner, Dancing, Auction & More
PET ROCK is the single largest annual fundraiser of the year for The Humane Society of Northwest Indiana! For the last three years, it has been hosted by and held at County Line Orchard -- 200 South County Line Road -- in Hobart, Indiana. The beautiful orchard barn is once again the site for the 2017 PET ROCK fundraiser, which this year has been dubbed PET "SHAM" ROCK, since it kicks off the region's St. Patrick's Day festivities and includes a corned beef & cabbage dinner.
As in past years, the event will also feature top shelf live entertainment, hundreds of silent auction items, a few special live auction items, a cash bar and more. Doors open at 5:00pm. Dinner is served 5-7:30pm. Music begins: 6:00pm.
Entertainment this year will be THE BLUZ BROTHERS -- "Chicago's premier tribute to Jake & Elwood Blues" -- with special guests, THE SPANIELS FOREVER. With the two groups together on one bill -- expect nothing short of awesome! Besides being incredible entertainers, both of these groups share our passion when it comes to the care and rescue of animals.
The Bluz Brothers -- are a Chicago-based national touring group with many dates under their belt at Chicago's House of Blues -- and they hold the record for drawing the biggest PET ROCK audience ever, so we are very happy to bring them back to Northwest Indiana by popular demand for their only public 2017 date currently on the calendar.
The Spaniels Forever are an iconic region vocal group and another favorite of HSNI patrons. This hall of fame group first hit the Billboard charts in 1953 with their #3 single, "Baby Its You," and continued for many years to have hit songs, with their most famous being the international #1 single, "Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight."
Auction items include new guitars, numerous gift baskets, concert tickets, gift cards, and numerous celebrity-autographed items from -- Adele, Taylor Swift, Ted Nugent, Joe Walsh, Jethro Tull, Paul Rodgers & Bad Company, Charlie Daniels, Boston, Mickey Gilley, Oak Ridge Boys, Ides of March, authors James Patterson, Catherine Lanigan, and many other famous names.
All proceeds benefit Humane Society of Northwest Indiana, an independent entity not funded by the government, the national Humane Society organization, nor other sources. It relies on adoption fees and the donations and support of the people and businesses of Northwest Indiana.
Tickets: $30 advance, $35 door, $15 under 12, group discounts (10 or more $26 each) available. All tickets include a corned beef and cabbage dinner (served until 7:30pm). Children may choose an alternate food option of a corn dog with mac 'n' cheese.
