Event description


One of the top treks in the world for good reasons! First, you get to experience Machupicchu first-hand at sunrise as you trek on the Classic Inca Trail over 4 days. The trek allows you to camp in the wilderness with the support of an experienced guide and a team of cook and porters in the gorgeous Andes mountains. A soak in the hot spring of Aguas Caliente awaits you at the end of your trek. You also spend time walking in the old part of Lima and visit the beautiful town of Cusco and the Sacred Valley. In the process, you will create lasting memories with new friends. These are all the reasons why this experience remains a classic!


DAY 1 - Arrive in Lima

Stay overnight in a hotel in Lima.

DAY 2 Lima City Tour

DAY 3 Fly out to Cusco. Walking city tour of Cusco. Visit to local market and Qoricancha temple.

DAY 4 Sacred Valley Tour

DAY 5 Day 1 of Inca Trail

DAY 6 Day 2 of Inca Trail. Walk from Huayllabamba to Pacaymayu.

DAY 7 Day 3 of Inca Trail. Walk from Pacaymayu to Winaywayna

DAY 8 Day 4 of Inca Trail. Walk from Winaywayna to Machupicchu. Tour around Machupicchu. Return to Cusco.

DAY 9 Fly out to Lima, and flight back to USA.

This trek is STRENUOUS given the high altitude, the possible low temperatures, the early start times for each day and the hike up Dead Woman's pass at the height of 4215 meters. You must be physically fit, in good health, and preferably with recent backpacking/hiking experience.

​NOTE: Consulting with your doctor prior to joining the trip is recommended. It is highly suggested that you familiarize yourself with the hazards and risks of high altitude trekking. A completed & signed Liability Waiver form and travel insurance to cover 100% trip cost, emergency medical and evacuation are REQUIRED to join this trip. After completing your trip booking and deposit, you will be required to purchase the required travel insurance by the trip balance due date. Failure to obtain adequate travel insurance will result in cancellation of your booking and loss of trip deposit.

Single supplement: $80 for tent single supplement
$300 for 5 nights hotel single supplement

Balance is due by 30 days before departure.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE INCA TRAIL: A non-refundable deposit is NOW due to reserve a spot. As we need to secure permits for the Inca Trail, all bookings and deposits must be sent ASAP due to the permits running out quickly. The sooner you book, the better.

Permits for 2018 departures start selling in October, 2017 so book your Inca Trail trip now to ensure your spot!

International flights are excluded. Clients must book their own flights and send a copy of their flight itinerary by e-mail to no later than the trip balance due date.

After making a deposit, you are required to obtain appropriate travel insurance through Travel Guard or other insurance of your choice that should cover at a minimum 100% of the trip cost (land & air), emergency medical and evacuation for high altitude trekking of up to 5000 meters. Proof of travel insurance must be provided via electronic mail to no later than the trip balance due date. Failure to obtain travel insurance by the trip balance due date will result in cancellation and no refund of your trip deposit and/or applicable cancellation fees as noted in the Terms & Conditions.

Note: If you opt to buy your insurance from a company other than Travel Guard, please ensure that the insurance you purchase covers high altitude trekking as there are only a select number of companies that provide such type of coverage.


Please check ahead of time as to the visa requirements for the country of your choosing. You are responsible for securing your own visa, if required.
